If you get the error: Incorrect frame size, it’s because the x in “320×240″ is not a real x. Replace it and the error goes away.

I also got “Unknown encoder ‘mp3′”, so I removed the “-acodec mp3″ option.

Finally ffmpeg said:

[libmp3lame @ 0x94d9760]lame: output buffer too small (buffer index: 9561, free bytes: 231)
Audio encoding failed

But the movie and audio seemed fine. So before you Google this error, check the movie in your player.

for thumbs

ffmpeg -v 0 -y -i $VIDEOFILE -vframes 1 -ss 4 -vcodec mjpeg -f rawvideo -s 86×60 -aspect 4:3 $THUMBNAILFILE

for flv

ffmpeg -i $input -ar 22050 -f flv -s 428×240 -y $input

//note that $input can be your path to /var/www/upload/video.mpeg same with the output at the end of the command above

I am using plesk panel. I want to zip the domain and what exact path for shell prompt in plesk, and zip the file transfer to another server. What is the command?

I just installed ffmpeg on my mediatemple (dv) following:
http://kb.mediatemple.net/questions/1637/Installing+FFMPEG+on+a+%28dv%29+3.5+server

and now I’m trying to find/install the ffmpeg-php extension and found this blog post. Once I’ve already installed ffmpeg with Yum, can I recompile with shared libraries? What’s the easiest way to install ffmpeg-php on top?

Sorry for being so ignorant, I don’t know as much as I should about my linux server! Any help appreciated

Do you have to request switching on curl per domain name, or is it for your entire account?
