MySpace Class - automation functions

the team (me and ryan) have made some functions, but are kinda of war on if we should release them.
right now the functions are already made for batch friend requests, batch seraching, etc. more and more of you have expressed a need for them, my only concern is spamming. I myself am on the fence if these functions should be released, or only used in the private developers version of the class.
this is where all of you come in. if enough you tell me why the functions are needed i’ll include them. you can either leave comments or contact me. the next release is next week, and if their not in that version you probably won’t see them for awhile.

One option I would consider is to release them as a non-open source add-on (obfuscate the code to prevent stealing), sell the code (so you can make some money for your efforts) and have a rock solid agreement that allows you to withdraw usage license of the add on if used for spamming.
I understand your concern and I think those functions are pretty much bound to be exploited for spam once word gets out. I am sure there are plenty of people interested in your class that wouldn’t, but many after them will, for sure…
If you wanna really monitor things and make your life more complicated you could obfuscate the code and add a check routine that reports back to your server and authorizes usage of the script so basically if the report shows the user is exploiting your script you block the user from doing so…

Hey sid,
I’m working on creating a web app called scrapBook. To get the myspace crowd involved I was hoping to provide the ability to apply the designed page to your myspace profile. I already have all the necessary myspace css/html hacks figured out, now I just need to find a way to update the about me section of the profile. If you already have the code to do something like this, I would love to have it.
